John R. Haupt, a master ceramist, is the founder and owner of Haupt Dental Laboratory Inc., which he opened in 1973.
In 1988 he became involved in Bioesthetic Dentistry (restoring the esthetic relationship of the upper and lower jaw). That same year, Cosmetic Dentistry was introduced into the lab and an entire dental implant department followed offering a full service laboratory with accounts, nationally and internationally.
Several weeks each year John lectures to dentists and technicians, locally and internationally, on dental implants, dental esthetics and cosmetic dentistry.

- 1997 - Present: Center for Esthetic Dentistry, UCLA
- 2002 - Present: Faculty for the Orognathic Bioesthetics International, Salem, Oregon.
